PURPOSE:
To adopt a resolution approving Affiliation Agreement with Arizona State University.
BACKGROUND:
Lake Havasu City and Arizona State University at Lake Havasu (ASU) would like to continue to work collaboratively to provide student experience opportunities to ASU students. Under this arrangement, any City department can work with ASU to develop and implement programs to provide real-world experiences to ASU students and encourage future work force in the City.
The City and ASU entered into a similar agreement in 2019 for a five-year term. Under that agreement, the City and ASU partnered to provide a leadership program with the City Manager’s office and social media and introduction to law enforcement programs with the Police Department.
This proposed Affiliation Agreement is for an additional five-year term. The individual programs will be developed and approved administratively in accordance with the Affiliation Agreement. Staff recommends the approval of this agreement.

Providing experiences and opportunities to university students in Lake Havasu City.
