PURPOSE:
Award Professional Services Agreement (500437) for the Kiowa Drain 3 Wash Stabilization Improvements Project Design in accordance with City Code Section and §§ 3.10.010.2 (Title 34) and 3.10.030.1.
BACKGROUND:
In September of 2015, an analysis and risk ranking were completed of the washes in Lake Havasu City. Each wash was ranked according to risk of slope failure. Kiowa Drain 3 was ranked 8th highest risk which has been programmed for construction in Fiscal Year 2025.
Staff negotiated a fee of $155,769, with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., for the wash stabilization design services. The design is anticipated to be completed by July 2024, with bid advertisement and award estimated for the fall of 2024.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
This project will provide wash improvements for protection of many properties throughout the wash corridors that have been identified as necessary in the Existing Conditions Analysis and Prioritization Report produced by Dibble Engineering.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$155,769 is allocated and available in the Flood Control Fund for this design work in the Fiscal Year 2023-24 budget.

I move to award the Professional Services Agreement for the Kiowa Drain 3 Wash Stabilization Improvements Project to Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., in the amount of $155,769.
