PURPOSE:
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Teller Software as a Service Agreement (Oracle Contract 500400) with Can/Am Technologies Inc. for Teller cash receipting software. This amendment will extend the renewal date to October 11, 2024, with annual renewals on October 11 in future years.
BACKGROUND:
The Agreement with Can/Am Technologies Inc. for implementation, licensing, and support of Teller cash receipting software was approved by Council on July 11, 2023, as the solution to replace Sungard HTE cash receipting.
The implementation of all aspects of the software occurred three months later than originally anticipated. Therefore, extending the renewal date saves three months of licensing and support fees. The original renewal date was to be on July 11 of each year, so staff is requesting Council approval to extend the renewal date to October 11 of each year of the agreement.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Teller’s online payment portal will provide a streamlined, simple payment option for customers.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no cost for this amendment. The City will save three months of licensing fees by extending the renewal date.
