PURPOSE:
To make recommendation to the Arizona Department of Revenue regarding a Class B Bingo License Application for Veterans United.
BACKGROUND:
Ms. Frankie Lyons has applied for a Class B Bingo License for Veterans United. The bingo games will be held five days a week (Tuesday through Saturday) from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., at 4Links dba WinWin Bingo located at 5601 Highway 95 (The Shops at Lake Havasu). The application was reviewed internally, and no objections were received.
Class B licenses are dedicated to raising funds for their sponsoring charitable organizations.
In accordance with state statutes, the local governing body shall upon receipt of the application immediately set a hearing on the application to be held within forty-five days. Following receipt of the application and the hearing, the local governing body shall recommend approval or disapproval of the application to the Arizona Department of Revenue.
