PURPOSE:
Award Agreement for Professional Services (Construction Inspection) for the 2019 Water Main Replacement Project in accordance with City Code Section 3.10.040 (Project No. WT7460).
BACKGROUND:
Staff negotiated a fee of $111,608 with Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. (AE2S) for Construction Inspection Services, which we feel is fair and reasonable.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The replacement of water mains on the proposed roads will provide for more efficient and reliable potable water delivery to the community now and into the future.
Water mains are critical pieces of the system infrastructure. Completion of this project is crucial to continue the reliable service of potable water to the community.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Sufficient budget is available in the Fiscal Year 2019-20 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for Construction Inspection of the 2019 Water Main Replacement Project No. WT7460. This CIP is funded with Irrigation and Drainage District funds.
