PURPOSE:

To abandon the northerly 5-foot by 183-foot portion of the 10-foot by 183-foot Public Utility and Drainage Easement along the southerly property line of Tract 137, Block 2, Lot 9.

 

BACKGROUND:

The property owner proposes to expand the buildable area of the property.

 

All outside utilities participated in the review and approval of the abandonment of the existing easement.

 

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

N/A

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Improvements to property will likely increase the assessed valuation and the City will receive additional property tax revenue.

SUGGESTED MOTION::Recommended Action

I move to adopt Resolution No. 19-3362 to abandon the northerly 5-foot by 183-foot portion of the 10-foot by 183-foot Public Utility and Drainage Easement along the southerly property line of Tract 137, Block 2, Lot 9, as described in the attached Exhibits A and B, to create additional building area.
