PURPOSE:

To abandon the entire 16-foot by 149-foot Public Utility and Drainage Easement located along the common property lines of Lots 12, 13, & 14, Block 10, Tract 2271.

BACKGROUND:

The three properties were combined and rezoned from C-1, Limited Commercial to R-3, Limited Multi-Family in 2017. Because of the proposed development, the easement is no longer necessary to provide service to the development.

All outside utilities participated in the review and approval of the abandonment of the existing easement.

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

FISCAL IMPACT:

Improvements to property will likely increase the assessed valuation and the City will receive additional property tax revenue.
