PURPOSE:
To approve an agreement to access and obtain information from the Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS).
BACKGROUND:
The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) is the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Criminal Justice Information Services Systems Agency in Arizona. The DPS is responsible for collecting, storing, and disseminating Arizona criminal history and criminal justice information. This Criminal Justice User Agreement allows the Lake Havasu City Police Department access to criminal justice information as available in the ACJIS / NCIC.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
This agreement is necessary in order to perform the duties of protecting the citizens and visitors of Lake Havasu City.

I move to adopt Resolution No. 18-3242 approving the Criminal Justice User Agreement with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement on behalf of the City.
