PURPOSE:
To approve the annual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Lake Havasu Professional Firefighters.
BACKGROUND:
City Code Chapter 2.62, established in April of 2004, allows specifically designated employee groups to engage in formal process designed to foster improved communications and working relationships. As a result, the MOU between the City and the Lake Havasu Professional Firefighters is being brought before City Council for review and approval.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The meet and confer process provides avenues of communication between management and the workforce resulting in enhanced services to the community.

I move to approve the Memorandum of Understanding with the Lake Havasu Professional Firefighters for a term of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, and authorize the City Manager and Fire Chief to execute the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of Lake Havasu City.
