PURPOSE:
To introduce Ordinance No. 18-1195 amending Lake Havasu City Code Section 11.06.360, Pets, to clarify animals in City parks.
BACKGROUND:
Section 11.06.360, Pets, of Chapter 11, Parks and Recreation, of the Lake Havasu City Code is not consistent with similar regulations contained in Section 6.20.010, of Title 6, Animals. Both sections are proposed to be amended to be consistent and to clarify the intent. Staff believes it will be helpful to retain Section 11.06.360 regarding animals in City parks for ease of locating the applicable regulations in Chapter 11.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Amending this section of the City Code as well as Section 6.20.010 will avoid any confusion regarding animals in City parks.
