Adopt Resolution No. 18-3197 Approving and Authorizing the Execution of Amendment No. One to the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Arizona Department of Transportation for Administration and Construction of Improvements to Lake Havasu Avenue

PURPOSE:
To approve Amendment No. One to the IGA with ADOT for Administration and Construction of Improvements to Lake Havasu Avenue, which provides for a decrease in matching fees of 5.7 percent of the estimated construction cost.
BACKGROUND:
Lake Havasu City has an existing IGA with ADOT to receive Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funds through Western Arizona Council of Governments (WACOG) as administered by the State. The funding has been used to date for design services for improvements to Lake Havasu Avenue from South Palo Verde Boulevard to Industrial Boulevard. This project is now ready for advertisement by the State. The State will administer the project.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The design and construction will provide a widened road section between South Palo Verde Boulevard and Industrial Boulevard, which will allow four (4) travel lanes. Two south bound and two north bound as well as protected left turn lanes at critically identified locations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $58,535 are available in Project No. ST2890. Funds in the amount of $1,265 will be transferred to this project from account 221-5110-403.43-06
