PURPOSE:
Award Agreement for Professional Services (Construction Management) for the Wash Stabilization Improvements Bid Package #2 Project in accordance with City Code Section 3.10.040. (Project No. DR1010)
BACKGROUND:
In January of 2015, staff performed a consultant selection process to obtain construction management services. The selection process used by staff was a qualifications based process, which required response to a RFQ and subsequent interviews. Carollo was chosen by the selection committee to provide construction management services to the City.
On July 13, 2017, sealed bids were opened for the Wash Stabilization Improvements Bid Package #2 Project.
Staff has negotiated a fee of $150,600 with Carollo Engineers for Construction Management Services, which we feel is fair and reasonable.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
This project will provide much needed wash improvements for protection of many properties throughout the wash corridors that have been identified as necessary in the Existing Conditions Analysis and Prioritization Report produced by Dibble Engineering.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Sufficient budget is available in the 2017 Wash Stabilization Project, Project No. DR1010, Account No 526-4110-421.62-04.
