PURPOSE:
To adopt an ordinance rezoning Tract 2194, Block 7, Lots 5-7 from C-1 (Limited Commercial District) to C-2 (General Commercial District).
BACKGROUND:
The subject properties are at the corner of El Camino Drive and Alley 21. The frontage of the three lots along El Camino Drive is 165 feet. Properties to the north, east, and west are zoned C-1. The property to the south is a C-2/PD (General Commercial/Planned Development) storage complex. The applicant requests the properties be rezoned to C-2 to allow for heavier commercial uses associated with the C-2 District.
The proposed rezoning is in compliance with the goals and policies of the City’s General Plan.
The Planning Commission recommended approval with a vote of 5-0.
