PURPOSE:
To award bid for janitorial services on a requirements basis for the City Hall building, Aquatic/Community Center, Maintenance Facility, and Wastewater Facilities (Office Buildings and Laboratory).
BACKGROUND:
Lake Havasu City contracts out a significant portion of its janitorial services for the above-mentioned facilities. This contract does not cover the Police Station (separate contract) or City Parks Facilities (handled internally).
On April 26, 2017, the following bids were received:
Done Right Cleaning Resources, Inc. $85,128.00
Lake Havasu City, AZ
Advance Janitorial Services, Inc. $87,636.00
Kingman, AZ
Staff has performed a bid evaluation on the apparent low bidder, Done Right Cleaning Resources, Inc., in the amount of $85,128.00. Two local references were provided. The overall results of the reference review were satisfactory and acceptable.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Contracting service for janitorial duties for the majority of the community’s buildings is the most cost effective method.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The various City budgets have the appropriate funding in their areas of activity for this function.

I move to award the bid for janitorial services for various facilities on a requirements basis to Done Right Cleaning Resources, Inc., of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, for a three year term with the option to extend the contract for two additional one year terms.
