SUBJECT:Title

Adopt Resolution No. 17-3126 Approving the Mohave County Fire Officers Association Mutual Aid Agreement

PURPOSE:

To update and renew the mutual aid agreement between 17 fire departments/fire districts in and around Mohave County.

 

BACKGROUND:

The Lake Havasu City Fire Department is a participating member of the Mohave County Fire Officers Association.  The Association is the host organization used to coordinate mutual aid within Mohave County.

 

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

This agreement allows the City to obtain additional resources in an emergency.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

While there is no out of pocket cost to the City for participating in the Mutual Aid Agreement, there is a financial benefit in having resources available when needed that are not contributing to the City’s ongoing operating costs.

SUGGESTED MOTION:

I move to adopt Resolution No. 17-3126 approving and authorizing the Fire Chief to execute the Mohave County Fire Officers Association Mutual Aid Agreement on behalf of Lake Havasu City.
