PURPOSE:
To adopt an ordinance rezoning Tract 2253, Block 2, Lots 12-13 from C-1 (Limited Commercial District) to R-2 (Two-Family Residential District).
BACKGROUND:
The subject lots were tied several years ago. The lots are currently zoned C-1 as part of a neighborhood commercial area. None of the lots within this block are currently developed. The original application requested rezoning the property to R-3. Once the applicant met with staff, the request was modified to R-2 to better fit the existing zoning/uses within the neighborhood.
The proposed rezoning is in compliance with the goals and policies of the City’s General Plan.
The Planning Commission recommended unanimous approval with a vote of 5-0.
