Approve Production Agreement with DataProse LLC for Utility Billing Services

PURPOSE:
To enter into a new agreement with DataProse (the City’s current Utility Billing provider) for utility billing services.
BACKGROUND:
The existing agreement with DataProse is set to expire on May 29, 2017. The City began working with DataProse to negotiate rates before the expiration of the current agreement. Through negotiations, the City was able to reduce the fees and services related to the bill package from $.125 to $.095 per bill for an annual savings of over $10,000.00. No other rates were changed within the agreement.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Providing cost effective billing services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
In FY15/16 the annual expense to DataProse was approximately $188,000. The City will realize an annual savings of over $10,000.
