PURPOSE:
Award Bid for Wash Stabilization Improvements Bid Package #1 in accordance with City Code Section 3.10.040. (Project No. DR1010)
BACKGROUND:
On February 22, 2017, sealed bids were opened for the project. The responsive bidders are as follows:
Base Bid
FNF Construction, Inc. $1,750,422.00
Degan Construction, LLC. $2,493,921.00
Meridian Engineering, Inc. $4,546,670.00
The lowest responsive bid submitted by FNF Construction, Inc., in the amount of $1,750,422.00 is 12% below the Engineer’s Estimate for the project.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The Wash Stabilization Improvements Bid Package #1 project will provide for wash stabilization and improvements along various wash reaches in need of immediate attention. This project is the first of many planned over the next several years to provide much needed improvements to many of the washes within Lake Havasu City.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Appropriations are available in the 2017 Wash Stabilization, Project No. DR1010, Account No 526-4110-421.62-04.
