PURPOSE:
Recommend to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approval of a special event liquor license for the Lake Havasu Association of Realtors Fundraiser.
BACKGROUND:
Thomas E. Larson, applicant for the Lake Havasu Association of Realtors, has applied for a Special Event Liquor License for a beer garden for a special event to be held at 1400 Smoketree Avenue, Lake Havasu City, AZ, on March 12, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Proceeds from this event will go to the Lake Havasu Association of Realtors. All fees have been received, and no objections have been submitted.

The City supports local events in the community to enhance the quality of life and generate tourism opportunities.

I move to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approve a Special Event Liquor License and that Council ratify the City Manager’s designation to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in Rotary Park for the Lake Havasu Association of Realtors Fundraiser, on March 12, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 1400 Smoketree Avenue.
