PURPOSE:
Ratify Change Order No.1 for the Island Treatment Plant Influent Screens Piping Replacement/Installation in accordance with City Code Section 3.10.020.12
BACKGROUND:
On August 9, 2016, B16-004 was awarded to Tri-Suns Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $124,000 for the Replacement/Installation of the Island Treatment Plant Influent Screens Piping. During the installation of the screens it was noted that due to heavy deterioration caused by H2S gases, one 16-inch gate valve needed to be added to the system while the contractor was on site. The price of the valve is $8,359.50.
City code requires all amendments to contracts exceeding 5% of the original contract price be approved by City Council.

Appropriations in the amount of $365,000 are available in the FY 16-17 budget in the Wastewater Capital Outlay Machinery and Equipment Fund Account 533.4210.422.6104
