PURPOSE:
Introduce ordinance amending City Code Section 2.56.111 to revise the warrant fee.
BACKGROUND:
During the recent review of the City’s fee schedule it was discovered that the warrant fee contained in Section 2.56.111 of the City Code is not consistent with the fee contained in the City’s fee schedule. The City’s fee schedule is developed through the process contained in Chapter 3.20 of the City Code. Through last year’s process, the Court requested an increase to the warrant fee to make it consistent with the warrant fee charged by the County, which the City Council approved. However, Section 2.56.111 was not revised to reflect the change.
The adoption of the proposed ordinance will amend the warrant fee in Section 2.56.111 from $50 to $125 and make it consistent with the City’s fee schedule and the County’s fee.
