PURPOSE:
To adopt an ordinance rezoning the property at 3570 Sweetwater Avenue from C-1 (Limited Commercial District) to C-2 (General Commercial).
BACKGROUND:
The property is located near the corner of McCulloch Boulevard and Sweetwater Avenue. The applicant’s Letter of Intent (attachment #4) states a desire to rezone the property from C-1, Limited Commercial, to C-2, General Commercial, in order to use the property for an open storage facility.
The proposed rezoning is in compliance with the goals and policies of the City’s General Plan.
The Planning Commission recommended approval with a vote of 5 to 1.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The City will receive property tax revenue.
