Recommend Approval of a Special Event Liquor License Application for the Friends of the Fair Mountain Bike Race on November 12, 2016, at 7206 Dub Campbell Parkway / Sayre

PURPOSE:

Recommend to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approval of a special event liquor license for the Friends of the Fair Mountain Bike Race.

 

BACKGROUND:

Jeffrey Allen Sayre, applicant for the Friends of the Fair, has applied for a Special Event Liquor License for a beer garden for a special event to be held at 7206 Dub Campbell Parkway, Lake Havasu City, AZ, on November 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Proceeds from this event will go to the Friends of the Fair. All fees have been received, and no objections have been submitted.

 

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

The City supports local events in the community to enhance the quality of life and generate tourism opportunities.

SUGGESTED MOTION:Recommended Action

I move to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approve a Special Event Liquor License and that Council ratify the City Manger’s designation to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in SARA Park for the Friends of the Fair Mountain Bike Race, on November 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 7206 Dub Campbell Parkway.
