PURPOSE:
Recommend to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approval of a special event liquor license application for the Taste of Havasu Event.
BACKGROUND:
Andrew Scott Campbell, applicant for The K12 Foundation of Lake Havasu Unified School District #1, has applied for a Special Event Liquor License for one bar setup for a special event to be held at 7206 Dub Campbell Parkway, Lake Havasu City, AZ, on October 25, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Proceeds from this event will go to The K-12 Foundation of Lake Havasu Unified School District #1. All fees have been received, and no objections have been submitted.

The City supports local events in the community to enhance the quality of life and generate tourism opportunities.

I move to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approve a Special Event Liquor License and that Council ratify the City Manager’s designation to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in SARA Park for the Taste of Havasu Event, on October 25, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 7206 Dub Campbell Parkway.
