Recommend Approval of a Special Event Liquor License Application for the Annual Chillin 'n Swillin event on November 5, 2016, at 1400 Smoketree Avenue / Gutierrez

PURPOSE:

Recommend to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approval of a special event liquor license for the Annual Chillin ‘n Swillin event.

 

BACKGROUND:

Gina K. Gutierrez, applicant for the Chillin ‘n Swillin. Inc., has applied for a Special Event Liquor License for a beer garden for a special event to be held at 1400 Smoketree Avenue, Lake Havasu City, AZ, on November 5, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Proceeds from this event will go to the Chillin ‘n Swillin, Inc. and the Lake Havasu City Parks & Recreation After School Program. All fees have been received, and no objections have been submitted.

 

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

The City supports local events in the community to enhance the quality of life and generate tourism opportunities.

SUGGESTED MOTION:Recommended Action

I move to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approve a Special Event Liquor License and that Council ratify the City Manger’s designation to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in Rotary Park for the Annual Chillin ‘n Swillin event, on November 5, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 1400 Smoketree Avenue.
