PURPOSE:
To consider the cooperative purchases of four (4) additional vehicles from various suppliers and the purchase of one (1) 2025 Can-Am Defender Limited Utility Vehicle for inclusion in the City’s fleet as outlined in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26 vehicle purchasing list, in accordance with City Code §§ 3.10.010.3(A)(1) and 3.10.030.1.
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Vehicle Maintenance Division requests approval to purchase one (1) 2026 Freightliner 114SD with Truck-Mounted Combination Sewer Cleaner from AZ Wastewater Industries, Inc., utilizing the Sourcewell Contract Number 101221-SCA, City’s Cooperative Purchase Agreement 500490; one (1) 2025 Ford Maverick from San Tan Auto Partners utilizing the Arizona State Procurement Office (AZSPO) Contract CTR059323, City’s Cooperative Purchase Agreements 500289; two (2) 2025 Polaris Ranger SP 570 from Polaris Sales, Inc., utilizing Sourcewell’s Cooperative Purchase Contract 091024-PSI under the City’s Cooperative Purchase Agreement 500640; and the purchase of one (1) 2025 Can-Am Defender Limited Utility Vehicle from Anderson Power Sports.
Three (3) quotes were obtained for the 2025 Can-Am Defender Limited Utility Vehicle with Anderson Power Sports being the lowest responsive bidder after applying a 2% Preference in Purchasing (-$671.23) in accordance with City Code §3.10.030.2.

This request for vehicle purchases represents the final 15% of the budgeted Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26 vehicle purchasing list.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Maintaining a cost-effective and reliable fleet ensures that the City delivers safe, efficient, and essential services to the public, including utilities, emergency response, infrastructure maintenance, and more.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding in the amount of $745,533.81 is allocated and available in the General Fund and Wastewater Utility Fund for FY 2025-26.
