PURPOSE:

To consider adopting a resolution approving a short-term Right-of-Way Grant and perpetual Right-of-Way Grant from the Bureau of Land Management for the Second Bridge & Roadway Improvement Project.

BACKGROUND:

The City staff worked with NV5 (design services consultant) and Ames Construction (CMAR) to finalize the proposed alignment for the second bridge, roadway and intersections.

The roadway alignment on the main line side has been revised to provide cost savings to the project and requires a short-term Right-of-Way Grant for construction staging purposes and a perpetual Right-of-Way Grant to accommodate the second bridge, roadway and intersections.

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

A second bridge and roadways to the island will improve safety and provide an additional emergency evacuation route.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no cost to the City for this action.
