BACKGROUND:

Community Health Associates was founded in 2004 and offers services in Yuma County, La Paz County, Pima County, Pinal County, Santa Cruz County, and Cochise County, with Mohave County added effective October 1, 2022. Community Health Associates partners with a variety of healthcare providers to offer a comprehensive array of services dedicated to prioritizing the needs of uninsured, underinsured, and underserved populations.  The Crisis Mobile Team responds to any person who is experiencing a crisis and requires mental health intervention and follow-up support.  In exchange for services rendered by Community Health Associates in Lake Havasu City, the City agrees to provide workspace for the Crisis Mobile Team Specialists in the Police Department facility to facilitate a strong working relationship.  The current agreement, entered into in October 2022, expires in September 2025.  This partnership has proven to be successful, and the Police Department would like to renew the agreement for another three (3) year term.

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

Crisis Mobile Team Specialists are readily available in Lake Havasu City to provide mental health crisis response to the citizens of Lake Havasu City 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
