Adopt Resolution No. 14-2797 Approving Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Mohave County Flood Control District

PURPOSE:
This IGA will allow Lake Havasu City to receive flood control funds as a reimbursement for flood control projects expended in FY 13-14.
BACKGROUND:
Mohave County established the Flood Control District to generate funding for planning, construction and maintenance of flood control improvements. Revenue generated from this district is distributed among the various jurisdictions throughout Mohave County.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
These funds will reimburse the City for the installation and maintenance of drainage projects, the Wash Stabilization Program, the continued development of the City's Geographic Information System (GIS) and for the cost of engineering services to support identified drainage projects.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $2,840,409 were received in FY 12-13 from the Mohave County Flood Control District. The estimated allocation included in the FY 13-14 budget is $2,083,196.

I move to adopt Resolution No. 14-2797 approving and authorizing the Mayor to execute the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Mohave County Flood Control District and Lake Havasu City for flood control purposes.
