PURPOSE:
To consider adopting a resolution approving an amendment of an existing Right of Way agreement with the State of Arizona, State Land Department to adjust the roadway alignment for the Second Bridge and Roadway Improvement Project.
BACKGROUND:
The City has contracted with NV5 for design services, with help from Ames Construction, the Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR), who, in working with City staff, has been able to finalize the proposed alignment for bridge, roadway and intersections.
The roadway alignment on the Island side has been revised to provide cost savings to the project and requires an amendment to the existing Right of Way agreement.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
A second bridge and roadways to the island will improve safety and provide an additional emergency evacuation route.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no cost for amending the Right of Way Agreement.
