PURPOSE:

To provide Council with supplemental information about the Lake Havasu City streets, maintenance program and finances.

BACKGROUND:

Lake Havasu City is responsible for maintaining approximately 432 miles of roadway to provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for residents, businesses, and visitors. Pavement Condition Index (PCI) is used as a key asset-management tool to assess pavement conditions, identify maintenance and rehabilitation needs, and prioritize limited funding. Regular PCI inspections provide a consistent, data-driven measure of pavement performance and help the City develop maintenance strategies that preserve roadways, extend pavement life, and minimize long-term costs. By monitoring PCI across the roadway network, the City can strategically prioritize projects and maintain overall pavement conditions while addressing the most critical needs.
