PURPOSE:
Appoint Chief Fiscal Officer as required by the Uniform System of Financial Reporting.
BACKGROUND:
In accordance with the Uniform System of Financial Reporting for Cities, Lake Havasu City must adopt a resolution each fiscal year which appoints a Chief Fiscal Officer. The State Auditor General requires a specific party from each city to submit budget documents and other related materials to the State of Arizona.
Lake Havasu City has traditionally appointed the Administrative Services Director as the individual appointed by the Mayor and City Council to act as Lake Havasu City's Chief Financial Officer.
