PURPOSE:
To consider adopting a resolution approving an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Mohave County Flood Control District to receive flood control funding ($3,495,760).
BACKGROUND:
The Mohave County Flood Control District (“District”) administers the Federal Emergency Management Agency Regulations under the National Flood Insurance Program. The District receives tax proceeds for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of flood control improvements. The District distributes the proceeds among the various jurisdictions throughout Mohave County.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
These funds will reimburse the City for the installation and maintenance of drainage projects, the Wash Maintenance Program, and for the cost of engineering services to support identified drainage projects.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $3,495,760 are included in the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27 from the Mohave County Flood Control District.
