PURPOSE:
To consider a Professional Services Agreement (500614) for preparation of a new Citywide Wash Management Plan to replace the previous 2015 Wash Stabilization Program in accordance with City Code §§ 3.10.010.2 (Technical Registrant) and 3.10.030.1.
BACKGROUND:
The 2015 Wash Stabilization Program has been implemented over the last 10 years. The remaining two (2) washes listed in this program are currently under construction with the final wash currently under design. The near completion of the Wash Stabilization Program and need for update was presented to City Council at the September 24, 2024 meeting.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
This Wash Management Plan will identify priority wash improvement projects to be planned into the 5-year Capital Improvement Plan, with project estimates, and will maximize the efficiency of Flood Control expenditures toward the protection of private and public properties. This plan will also fulfill the necessary requirements for compliance with Arizona Flood Plain Management Association and associated State and Federal Grant Funding opportunities.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $147,615 are allocated and available from the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Flood Control Fund for this project.
