Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Software License and Services Agreement and Software Maintenance Agreement with SunGard Public Sector, Inc.

PURPOSE:
To approve Amendment No. 1 to the Software License and Services Agreement and Software Maintenance Agreement, which replaces specific modules contained in the original agreement with site license upgrades to the CAD, Records, and Jail Management System modules.
BACKGROUND:
In July 2013, City Council approved the purchase of ONESolution Public Safety Software from SunGard Public Sector. Included in the original agreement were some modules that were determined by staff during implementation to not be necessary or desired; also identified by staff was the need for additional site licenses for the CAD, Records, and Jail Management System modules. SunGard Public Sector has agreed to provide a credit for the modules and associated maintenance fees that will not be utilized and provide the upgraded site licenses and associated maintenance for the same amount, with a net zero fiscal impact.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Exchange of component systems will provide for efficient use of the ONESolution Public Safety Software in departmental operations.

I move to approve Amendment No. 1 to the Software License and Services Agreement and Software Maintenance Agreement with SunGard Public Sector, Inc. and authorize Police Chief Dan Doyle to execute the Amendment on behalf of the City.
