PURPOSE:
To consider adopting a resolution approving a Right-of-Way (ROW) with the Arizona State Parks and Trails (ASPT) for the Freedom Bridge and Roadway Improvement Project.
BACKGROUND:
In 1997, Lake Havasu City entered into an MOU with ASPT that included reserving a right-of-way (ROW) across the south end of the Lake Havasu State Park for a second bridge and related streets. The MOU was renewed last in 2019. This ROW accomplishes the reservation of ROW outlined in the MOU and will allow the City to complete the Freedom bridge and related streets.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The Freedom Bridge will provide a second way on and off the island improving traffic flow on and off the island.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The ROW does not have a fiscal impact for the City.
