PURPOSE:
Presentation and discussion of the results from the 2026 National Community Survey.
BACKGROUND:
Lake Havasu City utilized an independent research firm to conduct a scientific survey of residents. The survey is designed to provide the City Council and staff with resident perspectives about community quality and government services. The National Research Center gauged resident perceptions of the City, allowing staff the ability to make regional and national comparisons with peer cities.
The 3,000 randomly selected households each received either a paper copy of the survey or an invite to fill out the community survey digitally in January 2026. In total, 414 surveys were completed, yielding a margin of error of 4.8%.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The National Community Survey provides statistically valid feedback from residents on key areas such as safety, infrastructure, parks, and customer service. This information allows city leaders to prioritize resources based on what resident’s value most rather than relying on assumptions.
