FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding for project provided by the State of Arizona, Department of Transportation.
PURPOSE:
To adopt a resolution approving an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to accept funding for design and construction of an emergency evacuation bridge in Lake Havasu City.
BACKGROUND:
ADOT has appropriated funding from the State highway fund to design and construct an emergency evacuation bridge in Lake Havasu City. Under this IGA, ADOT will issue the appropriated funding in the amount of $35,500,000 to the City for this project.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
This bridge will provide the necessary means to help provide a second access for emergency personnel and citizens.
FISCAL IMPACT:
ADOT will issue the appropriated funding in the amount of $35,500,000 to the City for this project. The total cost of the project is undetermined.
