PURPOSE:
To make a recommendation to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control regarding a Series #12 Restaurant Liquor License application for Waters Edge Winery-Lake Havasu.
BACKGROUND:
Beverly Ann Hawkinson has applied for a Series #12 Restaurant Liquor License for Waters Edge Winery-Lake Havasu, 2200 Mesquite Avenue. All posting requirements have been met, all fees have been paid, and no protest or support letters were received during the 20-day public comment period. The location is properly zoned for a Series #12 liquor license.
Series #12 Restaurant Liquor License - This non-transferable, on-sale retail privileges liquor license allows the holder of a restaurant license to sell and serve all types of spiritous liquor solely for consumption on the premises of an establishment which derives at least forty percent (40%) of its gross revenue from the sale of food.
This application was reviewed internally with the following comments:

No objections. Permitted use in the Mixed-Use Uptown Mainstreet (MU-UMS) District. The property is located within the Entertainment District.

Upon City Council’s recommendation, this application will be forwarded to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for final processing.
