PURPOSE:
The following liquor license is scheduled to be heard by City Council for recommended approval.
 
BACKGROUND:
Rachelle Irene Marchbanks, applicant for the Tinnell Memorial Committee, has applied for a Special Event Liquor License for one beer garden for a special event to be held at the Patrick A. Tinnell Memorial Sports Park in Rotary Park, 100 Park Avenue, Lake Havasu City, AZ, on March 28, 29, & 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Proceeds from this event will go to the Tinnell Memorial Committee. All fees have been received, and no objections have been submitted.
 
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The City supports local events in the community to enhance the quality of life and generate tourism opportunities.

SUGGESTED MOTION:Recommended Action
I move to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approve a Special Event Liquor License and that Council ratify the City Manager's designation to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in Rotary Park for the Professional/Amateur Skateboarding Competition on March 28, 29 & 30, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Patrick A. Tinnell Memorial Sports Park in Rotary Park, 100 Park Avenue.
