PURPOSE:

To consider adoption of a resolution abandoning the southwesterly 5 feet of the existing 10-foot-wide public utility and drainage easement located along the northeasterly property line of 3716 Hiawatha Drive, Tract 2235, Block 13, Lot 5. 

 

BACKGROUND:

The property owner of 3716 Hiawatha Drive is requesting to remove a portion of the Public Utility and Drainage Easement on the northeasterly property boundary as shown on the attached Exhibits to create additional developable lot area. All outside utilities and the City Public Works Department participated in the review and approval of the abandonment of the existing easement.

 

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

N/A

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Improvements to the property may increase the assessed valuation, and the City may receive additional property tax revenue.
