PURPOSE:

To provide Council with supplemental information about the Lake Havasu City water system, including infrastructure and finances.

BACKGROUND:

Lake Havasu City owns and operates a potable water system to serve citizens within the water service area.  This system was originally part of the Irrigation and Drainage District and includes multiple wells, a water treatment plant, and distribution system.  The water division staff is responsible for the maintenance, emergency responses, and planning for the entire system.  As the system has aged and the service population increased, infrastructure needs have changed.  This presentation will highlight the water system, performance metrics, budget constraints, system needs, and planning priorities to provide the Council with the most up-to-date information on this critical part of Lake Havasu City.  Staff will also highlight the Watermain Replacement Program including past projects and future project planning.
