PURPOSE:
To consider adoption of a resolution approving an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Mohave County for Housing Rehabilitation Inspection Services in relation to Lake Havasu City’s Housing Rehabilitation Program.
BACKGROUND:
Lake Havasu City administers the Arizona Department of Housing’s (ADOH) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), which are federally funded programs. To comply with ADOH’s requirements for the housing rehabilitation projects, housing program inspectors are required to perform inspections and prepare scopes of work.
Mohave County has housing program inspectors on staff that provide these services to Lake Havasu City.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Lake Havasu City’s CDBG program is designed to help low-income persons with housing rehabilitation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is allocated and available in the CDBG Fund. Lake Havasu City will reimburse Mohave County for its services, and these services are fully reimbursable from the Arizona Department of Housing.
