PURPOSE:
To consider adopting a resolution abandoning the northerly 5-feet of the existing 10-foot wide Public Utility and Drainage Easement on the southerly property line of Tract 2277, Block 5, Lot 1.
BACKGROUND:
The property owner of 910 Kiowa Avenue is requesting to remove a portion of the Public Utility and Drainage Easement on the southerly property line to create additional developable lot area.
All outside utilities participated in the review and approval of the abandonment of the existing easement. A condition of approval is included stating that if Frontier cable is found within the abandonment area, it must be relocated at the owner/applicant’s expense. Cable located outside of the abandonment area must be protected in place during any construction activities.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Improvements to the property may increase the assessed valuation, and the City may receive additional property tax revenue.
