PURPOSE:
To consider approval of Task Order Number 12 to the Master Professional Services Agreement (Contract #500225) with C&S Engineers, Inc., for construction management services for the Runway Safety Area Improvements Project (Phase 1 Construction) in accordance with City Code § 3.10.010.2.
BACKGROUND:
Lake Havasu City is undertaking Phase 1 construction of the Runway Safety Area Improvements project at the Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport. This project is being completed with grant assistance through the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and requires adherence to state and aviation construction standards.
To support the successful delivery of this project, the City is utilizing its existing Engineering/Architectural Consultant Master Professional Services Agreement (No. 500225) with C&S Engineers, Inc., through Task Order Number 12.
The scope of services includes construction management, inspection, and coordination services necessary to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. These services include oversight of the contractor’s work, review of submittals, coordination with ADOT, construction observation, documentation, and project closeout.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
The Runway Safety Area Improvements project supports the continued safe and reliable operation of the Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport, which serves as a critical asset for emergency services, business travel, tourism, and general aviation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $99,257 are allocated and available for this project in the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Capital Improvement Plan. The Arizona Department of Transportation will fund 90% of the project ($89,331.30), with the remaining 10% ($9,925.70) funded by the City from the Airport Fund.
