PURPOSE:
To consider adopting a resolution appointing regular member(s) to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board due to upcoming vacancies of regular member positions.
BACKGROUND:
The City Clerk’s Office received five (5) applications requesting consideration for appointment as regular members to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. Appointments are necessary to fill the upcoming vacancies of two (2) regular member and one (1) student member positions.
The Application Review Panel conducted interviews for the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board on June 1, 2026, and June 8, 2026, and recommends that Mercedes Kaiser be reappointed as a regular member and Alex Coletta be appointed as regular member with terms ending June 30, 2029.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Board, committee, and commission members play a pivotal role in providing guidance and direction on numerous issues that develop our community.
