PURPOSE:
To consider approval of a Professional Services Agreement (500711) with Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., for the WTP Filter Software Integration Upgrade Project in accordance with City Code §§ 3.10.010.2 (Technical Registrant) and 3.10.030.1.
BACKGROUND:
Lake Havasu City’s WTP went into service in 2004. Over the years, the WTP has had multiple upgrades to keep up with modern technology and maintain reliability. The WTP Filter Software Integration Upgrade Project is the last piece in modernizing the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and associated components needed for the water treatment process.
This work will upgrade the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system at the WTP to the latest version.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Improved reliability of the City’s Water Treatment Plant, ensuring the supply of safe drinking water and fire protection will be continued.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $167,875 are allocated and available in the Public Works Water Utility Fund budget for Fiscal Year 2025-26.
