PURPOSE:
To abandon the existing three unit residential condominium subdivision, known as Cordell Terrace Condominiums, adopted in 2003, and to revert the property to acreage.
BACKGROUND:
Steven Smith and Linda Easley, owners/applicants, request the abandonment of the three unit residential condominium subdivision, known as the Cordell Terrace Condominiums, and to revert the property to acreage. This condominium plat was created in 2003. The three unit multi-family development is located at 2819 Jamaica Boulevard South. Condominium ownership was popular for multi-family units to minimize sale costs, allow owners to sell airspace, and create common amenities to be maintained by an association. The City has processed many of these requests to abandon condominium plats, as they are not as popular in today’s housing market.
All outside utilities were notified and had no objections to the proposed abandonment.

I move to adopt Resolution No. 15-2985 abandoning the three unit horizontal regime, known as Cordell Terrace Condominiums, and authorizing the City Manager to execute all instruments necessary to abandon and revert the property to acreage.
