PURPOSE:
To consider adoption of a resolution approving the renewal of Lake Havasu City’s membership in the Northwest Arizona Employee Benefit Trust (NAEBT).
BACKGROUND:
The NAEBT was established in 2012 through the collaborative efforts of several communities in Mohave County. Lake Havasu City’s membership was originally adopted under Resolution No. 12-2610 and subsequently extended twice: in 2015 for five (5) years and again in 2020 for five (5) years. In the original resolution, the Council also approved the Trust Agreement and Bylaws. This proposed Resolution will extend the City’s membership in the trust for an additional three (3) years from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028.
COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Participating in a joint trust is an effective and efficient use of City resources.
