Recommend Approval of a Special Event Liquor License Application for the Chillin 'n Swillin', Inc. event on November 7, 2015, at 1400 Smoketree Avenue / Guiterrez

PURPOSE:

Recommend to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approval of a special event liquor license for the Chillin ‘n Swillin event.

 

BACKGROUND:

Gina Gutierrez, applicant for Chillin ‘n Swillin, has applied for a Special Event Liquor License for a beer garden for a special event to be held at 1400 Smoketree Avenue, Lake Havasu City, AZ, on November 7, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Proceeds from this event will go to the Lake Havasu High School Athletics and the Lake Havasu City Parks & Recreation After School Programs. All fees have been received, and no objections have been submitted.

 

COMMUNITY IMPACT:

The City supports local events in the community to enhance the quality of life and generate tourism opportunities.

SUGGESTED MOTION:Recommended Action

I move to recommend that the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control approve a Special Event Liquor License and that Council ratify the City Manager’s designation to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in Rotary Park for the Chillin ‘n Swillin event, on November 7, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 1400 Smoketree Avenue.
